I have tried, and failed miserably, to make a WinAmp boot logo for my computer.

I have a touchscreen computer (all built into one case, but using actual desktop components, nothing funky). I am in the process of building a nice stand-up case for it, as it will become, with the help of WinAmp, a touchscreen jukebox.

The computer will run CommandCubes as the jukebox interface, but I would like to advertise the fact that WinAmp is the driving force behind it upon boot-up and shutdown.

Anyone out there willing to give this a shot? I am thinking of a "Powered by WinAmp" type of thing, with maybe the WinAmp logo in the background.

Specs for a boot log, if I remember correctly, are 320x480 at 16 colors (NOT bits). If it helps, or makes a difference, this thing will be running Win98SE. I eventually hope to have a more powerful computer that could run Win2000 for increased stability, but for now this will have to suffice.

Thanks in Advance. Oh, BTW, I have googled for a Winamp boot logo, but have turned up NADA!

Sincerely,

Here ya go!!!

I took and redid a couple of existing images and resized them for startup/shutdown screens.

The dimensions for startups should be 320X400 and be in 256 colors.

A nice utility for changing the screens is the XRX Logo Utility whch can be found at http://www.nucleus.com/~kmcmurdo/logos/

yeah I'm too lazy to rename files so that's why I use it -> besides it also has a pallete adjuster built in;)

Enjoy!!!

Thank you very much! It looks great! I tried to do the same thing, kinda, as the llama one, but it did not turn out right.

I have already switched the llama to be my startup, and orange for shutdown.

Thanks again
