Good Movie, but the 3 special features are kind of disappointing. The first two are "Behind The Scenes" footage of two other movies, and the third (which really wasn't bad) was a Garfield-related video by the Baha Men.

CaptainNuss - I've watched them all before on VHS a few years back, still have a couple of the box sets that I can't get rid of, my g/f started buying them for me on DVD for my birthday a couple of years back, I have seasons 1, 2, 3 & 4 along with the movies box set sitting waiting to be watched, season 5 dosn't come out here for another two months or so.....
I'm hoping to get through them just in time for the next evolution in DVD's to come along, super giga DVD deluxe or some such crap, and I'll end up buying them all over again :D

The special edition dvd has some nice surprises, but Coppola goes a little overboard with the surf music. I mean there's music playing all the time! The new score distracts the viewer needlessly. I think I prefer the original release overall.

I agree, doesn't that annoy you. I felt that way about Star Wars too, it was better left alone.

This is a really good fantasy story with funny characters and great effects. I was really entertained.

This movie had great special effects, but absolutely lacked any redeeming quality past that. An interesting premise, but a stupid film that left you not caring about any of the characters at all. Some of the best car crash scenes I've ever seen, but not worth an hour and a half of your life.
Make you wonder why they drop a hundred million and nobody raises their hand and says it's lame.

Collateral Damage The digital effects of Gordy being swept down the waterfall were schlocky much like the ones used in Die Another Day when Bond tries to "ride the waves". It's like watching a video game.
September 11 or not, this movie and others like it, trivialize the reality of our world today. Damaging indeed. :down:

Watched Silent Hill the other day. Never played the games, but I had heard of the Pyramid Head character, and he was quite cool. Loved the big assed knife.

I've also recently watched King Kong, The Benchwarmers, Hostel (fuckin'... ow...), RV (ROFL). And several others I'm sure, they're just slipping my mind.
Asside from those, I watched season 1 of Superman: The Animated Series, and I'm almost done with season 1 of Justice League, then I'll move on to season 1 of Batman Beyond. I've also recently purchased and watched seasons 1 to 4 of The Dead Zone on DVD. Downloaded what I missed of season 5, and my DVR has been picking up the rest. Quite the cool show.

Children of Men - fabulous. Breathtaking combat scene near the end. Has one excellent single take shot that goes on for days.
