PB encoding avi/divx to NSV

Hi all,

I use NSVate ton encode my videos ton nsv format, it works perfectly with mpeg source file but when I want to encode AVI/divx file, NSVate encode only the audio of my divx file and no video.

Anybody can help me ?

NSV has trouble encoding non MPEG format video.

Best method would be to convert all video to MPEG format.

Or is there a codec for VirtualDub to convert in NSV without reconvert to MPG ?

all time was converting from AVS (aka fake avi) haven't any single problem just used
nsvenc /idle /ignoredrops "FAILAS"

Codecs, Codecs..... I've had a similar problem with conflicting MPEG codecs on some of my machines. What I sort of figured out is that NSV doesn't encode stuff right when it doesn't find the "right" codec.

My guess and it's just that is that NSV is picking the wrong codec for decoding. Check out your codecs and make sure that you don't have two that do the same thing. This seems to get easily confused.

Rule of thumb. Only install the codecs that you use. Nuke the rest.
