Ok am new to the NSV stream ,so please dont blast me with abuse ,,ive searched the forum for the answer to my question
Though havent found it ,or have miss read it.

I have encoded a video file with flaskMPEG ,,and i am using Nsvgui 0.1.6.3 to stream it.

My problem is ,,,, i have done the following page on my site www.dancefm******nsv.html ,and from what i have been told people are asked to install a codec.

Though after installing this ,they still carnt view the stream :(

The contents of the html file is below :

Are you encoding your NSV files with VP6.2 or VP6.1 ?

The ActiveX written by NullSoft is for the older VP6.1 video codec not the latest generation VP6.2 video codec.

AOL currently has no plans to update the NSV ActiveX to include VP6.2 or the planned VP7 video codec.

I have the VP6 codec installed ( Version 6.2.6.0) , though when encoding my files with Flaskmpeg there isnt the option to use the VP6 codec , only VP3 3.1 proper.

I have recently installed and am currently using NSVgui7 ,and on the shoutcast server options ,i have selected VP6/MP3.

Though people still say they download the codec and install it ,but still no picture or sound.

Though i can go on the page ,and view it perfectly.

i have been messing around with the code in my html page ,trying to get it to work :

<OBJECT id=nsvplayx
codeBase=http://www.nullsoft.com/nsv/embed/nsvplayx_vp6_mp3.cab#Version=-1,-1,-1,-1
height=480 width=640 border=0

<PARAM NAME="Location" VALUE="http://213.48.102.228:9000/" ref>
<param name="_Version" value="65536">
<param name="_ExtentX" value="16933">
<param name="_ExtentY" value="12700">
<param name="_StockProps" value="0">
<param name="Bandwidth" value></OBJECT>

Any idea's ? :cry:

OOOH! ON2.... six point blech! . I like pink splotches, but I like some fur over them :-).

AVi's played from Winamp come out upside down and backwards. Close WMP with the X and it will give you the famous "SEND ERROR REPORT" and nearly crash the computer.

Use VP3, it's stable, yucky, uses a lot of bandwidth and works.

No, AVI's playing upside down without a "special" player like BSPlayer or whatever are a sign of bad codecs, I forgot what the problem was but you can probably understand it by reading this KB article:

Video Appears Upside Down When You Use an AVI File as a Source File (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=269967)

It is a know bug with Winamp and AVI files enocde with VP6 sources. Not sure what the status on it is, though.

I wasn't blaming Winamp.
