i love my gmail. The spam-filter is wonderful. i've had my account for a bit longer than two months and I got my first flood of spam last week, everything was directly sorted into my spam-folder. Those of my friends who still use hotmail get lot's of spam right into their inboxes.

I dont... ..other than MSN crap.
I've tried GMail, and I could not get it to work, but I gave the account to my mother, she needed it more than I.

I semi work for MSN (I trouble shoot DSL from Qwest with MSN software) and I thought it was pretty funny when this lady called in and just wanted to say how excited she was for us letting her know she was a special and valued MSN customer" and greatly appreciates the compliment and extra space.

gmail is extremely non-standard, the gui is just a damn mess of java-script and it works only in selected browsers, don't even think about trying with an old linux ditro that only has netscape 4 . Actually it works better in recent versions of firefox and mozilla suite than in IE6.
Normally I hate non-standard applications, but gmail is just wonderful in all other ways, you know being able to search your mailbox with google tech. And it's still beta, so you use it at your own risc.

Yeah I got that too. Would've been helpful, had I not already switched to gmail. My only problem with gmail is that I (currently) can't send HTML in my emails.

HTML-mails suck becouse people generally put large images into the mails and not as attachments. And sooner or later someone's spam-filter will delete a very important mail you send them just becouse you combine html mail with some naughty word :P
Yahoo mail is one of the only decent free webmails i know that supports html-code. At least they supported, i haven't used yahoo for ages so i don't know. Hotmail supports "RTF"-styles (which off cource means html) if you use IE, the only nrowser that is able to use their outrageously nonstandard msword-style toolbar for fonts, bold/italic etc.

Gotta love Microsoft's way of thinking. Their give their paying MSN members 250 MB of space while they give the same amount to their non-paying Hotmail customers.
Hell, a few weeks back, my Hotmail account had 2000 MB (yes, nearly 2 GB) of storage. lol
PS - Hi everyone again. *disappears back into the depths of the Internet* (was bored, so I wandered here)

Not true. All primary e-mail accounts are 2gb of space and all subaccounts are 250mb. Like I said, I kinda work for MSN.

Rather strange how things go these day's. One moment they shrink it to 2Mb and the next you have 250Mb.
