Setting up Winamp??

hi,
i just upgraded from a SB Live 5.1 soundcard to a M-Audio Revolution 5.1 soundcard and i had foobar, but i don;t think it is giving me the best sound because the kernel streaming doesn;t work and i asked people and nothing worked to fix it, so i am going back to my original player (Winamp). Can anybody give me steps to set up winamp for the best quality in sound?? if there is a forum that has already answered this, please send me a link to that thread..thank you

Also, if you're playing MP3 files and intend to use the Winamp EQ,
then try unchecking "Fast Layer3 EQ" in:
Prefs > Plugins > Input > in_mp3.dll > config > Decoder tab

Is winamp better than foobar for bass and treble?? I have Creative I-Trigue 3300 2.1 speakers and a M-Audio Revolution 5.1 soundcard. Which media player is better? foobar or winamp?/
