First off, I'd like to say that Shoutcast is awesome. Very "user-friendly" due to the fact ppl actually get answers and help from those who been there and done that. Ok, guess I should get started....

I'm running on a motorola router, and have a home network setup. I setup my first server not to long ago, I'm still a noob. I run a chat server as well... My problem is the chat server runs on port 7777 and I use www.no-ip.com to hide my IP with... But for the station if I use that addy it comes up with a port error saying its already in use so it forces me to use my IP in order to broadcast. That is one problem I have. The other is I'd like to run another server on the same system, so my station can have a "hard side"(rock/rap) and a "smooth side"(country/gospel). I'd appreciate any info or site addy's that could explain to me what needs to be done in order to fix the problem and to host the second server.

Peace out,

The error about the port already in use has nothing to do with using no-ip. Try to find if there's another program using your port base. Also, did you change the lines SrcIP/DestIP from ANY to anything else?
As for your second question, just make a copy of the Shoutcast installation folder and configure sc_serv.ini for the new server, obviously, the 2 servers need a different port base to run at the same time.

Ok, I figured out what was using the port, one of my chat servers was (voodoochat server), got it taken care of... The SrcIP/DestIP is set to ANY, I was able to broadcast. Thanx for the help on the installation of the copy.

Two more Q's and I think I'll be all done... And if I missed the answer in another thread, plz just let me know.
What should the copy's port settings be, just a number or two difference?
And the last Q, is there a way to hide my IP for the station w/o disrupting my current no-ip configuration, if so could you post the link?

Thanx a million,

The port base for the copy can be any port as long as it is not in use, just try to avoid well-known ports as 80, 21, etc.

And you can use your current no-ip sub-domain for the station [in fact, for any service that you want to run], just add the port base at the end, ex: http://station.no-ip.com:8000 You could even use more than one sub-domain name pointing to your IP at the same time.
