I have just seen an ad on TV for a new sequel, a sequel that may be even worse than Scary Movie 3, even worse than The Next Karate Kid
The Son Of Mask
I'll look for a link to a trailer, but this may be the worst film of all time.
/edit Look here (http://www.sonofthemask.com/trailers/trailer_qt_large.htm)
/edit2 And if you have a bad connection here (http://www.sonofthemask.com/trailers/trailer_qt_small.htm)

All for profit and nothing more. Thats what sequels are for.

Not all sequels are for profits. Some movies were written as a duo or a trilogy. The Matrix was written as a trilogy, as was the Lord of the Rings.

about 75 percent are though. Some of them even ruin the original movie since they stink so bad, like Ocean's Twelve for example.

I've known about this for a while... Without Jim Carrey, it's worthless, and they seem to be missing the point of the original movie, but whatever. Looks... forgettable.

they should have left the matrix as just one movie.

I think his question was whether it's the same character (Stanley Ipkiss) who Jim Carrey played in the old movie. My assumption is that it isn't. If it is, they've messed up the movie even more than I thought.
