I noticed that the pro version of Winamp 5 will only let you rip one CD at once. I would like to know (or put a call out to the developers) if there is a plugin that will allow me to rip from multiple drives at once.
Ideally, id like to use my CD-server for this task, It has 8 SCSI CD-Rom drives.
But, even a version that let me use my two IDE's on my desktop at once would be nice.

Is there anyone else who is looking for this feature?

I'd like to see it happen but I think it's got more to do with the sonic ripping engine anyway.if I'm not mistaken I think it's designed to rip/burn from and to one optical IDE drive

like I said ... I think that's the case..but if what you're talking about is possible then I'd like to see it :D:D

You're asking a bit much of a media player here. I mean, I know Winamp's good and stuff but come on ... :)

Use a proper CD Ripping/Burning program.

Do you know of one that supports an operation such as this?

I was hoping it would be possible, as the media library intergration would be sooo nice.

Thanks for the feedback!

Can't you just open 2 instences of winamp?

Could work Cheezychops, you can certainly access two different drives having Winamp running twice. If you want to try this PyroPhin then make sure you have 'Allow multiple instances' checked in Winamp Prefs(Ctrl+P) > Gen Preferences.

The program I use is Feurio, it will definitely handle the two drives I have and probably more.
Encoding support is a little basic but the databases and lookup are good, including CD Text. Burning is the best you'll find anywhere.
If you want to buy the pro version it will even handle multitple burning
