Server Help

Im using "another" program to play all my music, but I was wondering if there was insturctions to setup this other program to a ShoutCast Server? I would hate to ask for this type of help if there already is instructions to do so. I know how you guys feel about repetitve questions.

Bottom line, i wanna use another program to play music but connect to the ShoutCast Server....I need instructions to ready about this, unless someone already knows how...

you still need to use winamp and the dsp but set the dsp to soundcard on the input tab
this way you can play your music on your proposed player

Hey Thanks. Another quick question....the dsp thats the server connection right? I remember awhile back I was reading all these forums and read something about using...what was it called, Icecast or something like that. Do i need to or does the shoutcast work fine with my "other player"?

that's correct..

you have to use Winamp and the dsp plugin, to connect to the server....

using icecast would make no difference and shoutcast would be fine for what you are trying to do :)

many djs do this all the time with mp3 mixing software

using traktor or virtual dj and streaming it through shoutcast :)
