Just wondering...why on earth does winamp have a minibrowser built into it? What's the purpose for it? There's IE to browse the net

The minibrowser uses IE. Kinda like NetCaptor.

Its very good for shoutcast streams and that argon plugin that forces file info into the minibrowser

I think it was used for profit back when Winamp was still shareware... I only remember this vaguely, so maybe someone else can shed a little more light on this with more details...
