which output option to use?

There's always been one thing that's bothered me, should I use Direct Sound or WaveOut? And in those options should I use 'Primary Sound Driver', 'Wave Mapper', or select the name of my video card?

I use the wave out plugin, it uses a lot less CPU resources. As for wave mapper or your sound card, it doesn't make a difference unless you have multiple cards installed. I just use wave mapper because that's the default.
