This (http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/003148.html) topic has someting about beer in it (staring on page 3).
I want to start a new topic about it. And only about beer. http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif What's your favourite beer. What's the best beer you've ever tasted. And also very importand, what's the worst beer you've ever tried?

Grolsch is the best beer in the world. No doubt. I like the Grolsch "beugel" the most.
http://www.homepages.hetnet.nl/~eelko_berkenpies/image/grolschb.gif

The best beer I've tasted was Hertog Jan Trippel.

The worst was Hoegaarden Das. http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/eek.gif That was discusting.

You cant just have one favorite beer. It depends on the season. For instance, in the winter time, it's all about brews like Newcastle and Samuel Smith's Winter Warmer. But I do agree that Dutch beers are generally good all-around beers. Gotta go with Heineken on that category though (Grolsch is cool, and so is Amstel, Vos, and Duvel, but nothing beats Heiny).

The best beer I ever tasted was Braueri Maximillian's Meibock. yum!

My fav is definitely Shiner Bock, made in my home state:

I agree, you really can't have one favorite. I like the following above most others though:

Corona (with lime in it)
Black and Tan
Guiness
Heineken

Bitburger, or Beck's when I'm in the states. When I'm in Germany, each state has its own "High Brew". The only state that exports (as far as I can find) is Bavaria, so Munchen Hofbrau is all I can find in the states. But Stuttgarter Hofbrau has to be the best I've ever tasted.

Upper Canada Dark Ale. The Lager is excellent too. If I'm back home in Toronto, I'll stop by the Amsterdam Brewing Company at King and Portland streets for their excellent microbrew.

Down here in the USA I'll drink the Blue Moon Wheat Lager - a delightfully refreshing wheat beer. http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/tongue.gif

Beer is good. Hard liquor is good.
Expired apple juice is good. Rotten fruit is good.
If it can get me drunk it is good.

I don't drink much beer, but I do have taste.

Grolsch is VERY, VERY good, but my favorite beer of all time has to be when I went to Thailand 6 years ago, I came upon this beer called "Singer" "Shinga" or somein' and I just loved it; it kinda smooth but manages to tinkle in your throat - perfect with spicy Asian dishes.

Being forced to reply by the sicko who likes carling black label: You've had one too many mate..

Favourite ale: Rocket Fuel, or Mendip Gold (Hmmm.. need to be in a hogshead pub in the UK for that one..)
Favourite Lager: Budweiser (Budvar, the Czech one, not the nasty american sh&^e)

Tiger (the indian one) is good too, especially when you are having a curry...

Goldschlaggers
Absolut Mandrin
Red Death (NYC or regular)
Red Devil (NYC or regular)
Red Headed Sluts are good
Zombies are good too
Rum

Nobody has mentioned everclear yet?
etc.

Ohhhh... Rum. My favorite poison ever. I try really hard to not drink much (I don't really go for drunkeness, just taste) as I do not want to develop a habit. But Silver Label Captain Morgan or Private Stock Captain Morgan have to be the tastiest liquor's I've had. I have had some interesting stuff though:
-40 Year Old Cognac (Good, but too worried about drinking away the money)
-Jaegermeister (Good German stuff, when I was actually in Germany)
-Saki (Good ole Japanese rice wine, neato)

That's pretty much it for the interesting liquor's I've drank. I've had the normal American stuff aplenty, as well. But my all time favorite, all around, has to be Silver Label Morgan. http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/smile.gif

If you drink Saki, I'm impressed. Most people, myself included cook with it when making seafood or chinese cuisine. But every now and again, a swig here can't hurt. I really don't drink much though. Too busy with college and work to drink.

I drink vodka. Well, you couldn't really call drink it cos you don't really taste much (except for the alchohol that burns in your throat).

I just got a month free supply of Vodka (assuming that me and my friends drink 3 bottles a day, while actually, about 40 bottles are available as giveaway right now) as a birthday present last month, which was perfect as Russian winter redefines the word COLD to a whole new level.

Just to be a picky b*****d here, but the majority of things you've mentioned in this "beer and only beer" topic are actually lagers. The difference being that the majority of us Brits refer to "real ale" or bitter as beers, and all your other stuff (Heineken and Bud, etc) as lager. So my pick of beers would have to be:

Boddingtons
John Smiths
Marstons

I somehow think that non of you over the big pond would have heard of these coz I can't imagine they'd travel all that well, and beer is definitely an acquired taste!

Hope I don't start a flame war over the use of these two terms now! http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
