Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net) is free an available for all platforms. try making one yourself, its pretty easy, and a good learning experience.

I also recommend Audacity. I've used it when I wa forst starting my station to create my own ID's and liners.
Cool Edit Pro, which is now: Adobe Audition 1.5 is great also.
If you need audition, just let me know.
