Hello out there. I hope anyone can help me!

I have some different questions, but instead of making one thread of each, I'll make it all-in-one

??? 1:When I Have encoded a file with VP62/VFW codec - mp3 or aac. Then it will play fine i WinAmp with sound and picture (Good Quality!!). But when I stream it to my webpage with SHOUTcast, its only the sound that appears! Theres is no picture at all, no mather what I do. I've tried with different settings, when I encode the movie and also with different clsid's on the webpage.
I have made movies with VP3 - mp3 or acc, and stream them with great succes! :p
Both sound and picture is running just fine!
So what's wrong with VP62/VFW???

??? 2: When I start up my SHOUTcast-server i won't find any sc_serv.rip or sc_serv.ban -files. I have createt these two files in nodepad. In sc_serv.rip I've wrote the IP, but that isn't very usefull when the server not read the file ;)
So why don't Shoutcast-server find the files???

??? 3:What should I write in the sc_serv.rip file and sc_serv.ban, so I can reserve an IP-connection or ban clients?

??? 4: How do I get "title= name %$" work in the sc_serv.ini file? Do it only works when it's .mp3 file played or will it also work with .nsv file? I have made an .bat file that can send "title" to the server so it's shown in Winamp, but the title is the same name as in the playlist-file createt by NSVgui, so by changing that name and stream with my .bat file I'll get an title on, but I really want the title of the seperate NSVfile, so one playlist can have several movies that appears with there own names, and not just a "joined" one

Please can anyone help me?

1 .there is no vp62 active x plugin available
so you will not be able to view your stream on your website

2.in your shoutcast sc_serv.ini or .conf file
ensure riponly is uncommented.

3. just add ip address to ripfile
im not sure about banfile as i always use the admin.cgi
to ban people from my server.

THX for youe quick respond, Jkey.

I dont get that with the vp62-codec. What codec is then used with this activeX:
VP6/AAC:
http://www.nullsoft.com/nsv/embed/nsvplayx_vp6_aac.cab
(clsid is "clsid:C5E28B9D-0A68-4B50-94E9-E8F6B4697519")
??
It's from the list with activeX plgin objects.

Hey Jkey

In the second question about SHOUTcast sc_serv.rip file. It wont work! I have tried RIPOnly: Yes / No / blank / and just";" after riponly=

But THX anyway :-)

you are using "vp6.2" codec the active x control only works with "vp6.1" codec.

VP6/AAC:
http://www.nullsoft.com/nsv/embed/nsvplayx_vp6_aac.cab
(clsid is "clsid:C5E28B9D-0A68-4B50-94E9-E8F6B4697519")

below is examples of what works and does not with
this active x plugin!
example1: vp6.2/aac not work :(
example2: vp6.1/aac does work :D

to your second question.....
if in you sc config
; RIPOnly=yes :( dont work
RIPOnly=yes :) does work

when you start up you shoutcast server the rip file vanishes
well it does on my linux box.
so while your shoutcast is running you can only add
or remove ips to/from the rip file via the admin.cgi page
on your server.

well this is my experience anyway :)

Hey
I've finally found the VP6.1 codec.
It was hard! It just not pop up at google!
I found it on a Germen site!! and when came "home" it was a jpeg-file!!! But after changing the file extension to.exe it work just fine and so do my VP6.1 -stream.
So if anyone need the VP6.1 codec, send me a mail at notmetv@mail.dk and I'll send it to you (1.48 mb.
If anyone know where to upload it, so it can be accesible for others, please let me know!

If you are lucky my streamserver runs at: http://home20.inet.tele.dk/notmedesign/tv1.htm

Enjoy your self :-)

sc_ban etc, are a simple list of IP's. When you ban someone they will get the message "forbidden" in their Winamp.

1.2.3.4
4.3.2.1

is the simple format for banning and reserving.

As far as the activex controls and xpi's for embedding this stuff into web's. It's VERY beta.

THX! rockouthippie.
It must be very beta. I can't no matter what I'll do, get the Ban and RIP function to work. MAybe it will be better with time. :)
