4 channel support [Archive]

It would be amazing to have 4 channel support in the basic player. Just curious cuz Windows Media Player supports 4 channel sound.

the thing is that mp3s are recorded in stereo meaning only left and right channels, so the only way to get 4 channel sound is to use one of those cheesy "3d sound" features that rarely sounds realistic. that's my opinion of course...now if only we could get DVD audio CDs with 5.1 Dolby digital....oh man, i'm starting to drool http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/tongue.gif
