I'm a DJ, I been DJing for a while and have not yet used mp3s in a club nor anywhere, due to unrelibaleness of the current software out there.(unless I spend 8,000+ which has limited power - features) But anyway I find myself at home frequently playing with winamp and the worst thing for me is that winamp does not contain any cue button nor is it possible to get correct 'CUE' points of a song with plane seconds. Even my denon 2600f isn't as fast as my computer. You people (winamp) should take advantage of the computer, its so much faster and yet innovated intelligence in software technology is so slow; more due to probably that winamp was never created by a DJ or ever inquired a DJs taste?

I bet you that they could market so many things to professional DJs the limit is endless, but I suppose not.. "oh well too bad" I say. It leaves the space wide open for a possible business venture to .. well 'yours truly.. :O} does life get better .. oh yea it does.. if winamp ever promoted software or hardware I'm sure you would see a "wham bam" in stock influx! Well I see life needs a boost in such areas.

hey you Mr. Winamp need any consulting done, how about some electrical engineering.. God I only wish I could run such a 'conglomerate' <-Joke, ugh you know only if I had enough money my innovated thoughts and talents would be put to the test and I assure you that! -- anyone willing?? Mr. Bank.. No.. Yes.. oh well I find myself babbling to you all now.. wondering if anyone will read what I have wrote, sorry for the spelling and typo errors.. I'm not a English major! haha

-sincerely your DJ

oh one more thing..

(I know there is other software to winamp but I'm relating this to winamp!)

Now I hope I didn't cause any rebellion inside you to cause a sudden instinct to post a shity comment towards me. Finally -- i say good bye.. dont expect me to reply back much i dont like typing.

Actually Nullsoft is packed with wannabe DJs. http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/wink.gif

Now maybe I'm displaying some ignorance here, but what do you mean by "cue" button? What about the seek bar is not cutting it for you? Do you want to be able to seek while paused and then kick it off? Or what?

Cueing is the ability to stop at a particular time in a song (usually on the beat) and then having the song always start from the cue point (not the beginning). Without cueing it's nearly impossible to beatmix with WinAMP (unless you use the pause-pause-pause get lucky method).

Some other nice DJ improvements would be the ability to drag & drop from a playlist so you could use on master list and even if cueing can't be done a way in preferences to disable auto-playing a song when one is drag & dropped on WinAMP.
