I would like to echo the requests of other users and add a few of my own. These mods may not all be useful to the general listener but IMHO would be very useful to us who use WinAmp/Shoutcast to stream.
1) Automatic addition/removal of files from the playlist dependant on whether they exist in a certain dir or not. To extrapolate on this idea, directories could be flagged as 'Timed', 'Urgent' or 'Immdiate', where Timed dirs are given a certain number of hours/minutes/seconds to check for new files. Dirs marked as Urgent would contain files that must be played after the next 'n' number of entries in the playlist. Dirs marked as Immediate would contain files that must be played as soon as possible and after each entry in the playlist until a certain date and time has been reached.
2) Include playlists in playlists.
3) Real-Time synchronization. Specify programs or entire playlists to play at certain times. Should there be pad time between programs or playlists, include a 'bumper' file option.
4) (This is a real strech) Decode DTMF tones in a file & perform certain programmable actions. CTCSS tones probably would be unacceptable (MP3 encoding would filter these out).
