I have just awoken. I have a rumpled look. It occurred to me as I put my Apocalyptica CD into the drive, that list downloaded from CDDB aren't saved (or am I a dumbass and they are?). I might be wrong about the actual filename, but Audiocatalyst, for one example can optionally save it's quiries to that happy little file in your Windows directory.

yep, dem's my words, dey good eatin'

Again me..

There is a CDplayer plug in for winamp. It has a checkbox for the cdplayer.ini!

Works fine for me!

Nevertheless winamp should learn to save to the cdplayer.ini and/or import/export Cdda

I have the Plugin in question:
http://www.winamp.com/customize/detail.jhtml?componentId=546

It is really cool because it reads the CD through your equalizers. However it DOES have one rather annoying flaw. When you play the final track of any CD the player will halt at the end with an Windows error 57 under NT at least. This is annoying as it means you have to keep dismissing this dialog and restarting winamp every 1/2 hour despite having continuous play checked. It is because this plugin is now the official CDA in_plugin and thus without it this problem does not exist as you are using the old Winamp CDA plugin.

HTH.

Be Seeing You,

Jeffrey.
