How about one prograqm that can do it all... Winamp can already decode MP3s. How about making a Pulg-In that'll let it rip CDs into either WAV, or MP3 format????

I don't know a thing bout programming so I'll leave up to you geniouses out there! http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/smile.gif

There are already programs that do this, and adding that feature to Winamp would make it bloatware, Winamp is a player, not everything else. Am I right?

Actually plugins already exist that allow Winamp to do so.
This will allow CD to WAV http://www.winamp.com/customize/detail.jhtml?componentId=546
and this does WAV to MP3 http://www.winamp.com/customize/detail.jhtml?componentId=177
Use them both at the same time and you have CD to MP3.

Don't forget that a certain Bill Gates wanted to do everything with its software... but are they really the bests ?

I prefer an excellent Winamp than a poor all-in-one.

..and winamp looses one of it's key features.. it's light weight. look at software that has everything.. and winamp.. big difference in quality and cpu resources.
