sometimes my playlist is so big, it takes me hours to find a song. the playlist is not very user friendly and its interface needs some changing. http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/wink.gif
for a start, how about adding search options for the playlist ? or even a hot key like when you press 'K' and it gets you to a song that starts with 'K'

its amazing that even when the playlist is sorted by name, the hot key option is still not available ! http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/frown.gif
just some serious thoughts. Nitrox

Excellent idea. Actually thats why I am here too. I only have a couple hundred songs, but its a pain in the ass to go to the windows find to find a file if all you can remember is the artist, and the list is sorted by title. There should definentally be a search function with a shortcut key attach to it.

This is a nice idea especially if your filelist is too big.
The developer should do that in the next version.

Try pressing the decimal key on the number pad. Then type in the song you are looking for. This feature has been in winamp since version 2.50!!!

I like that decimal key!

Anyways - here's my variant of this:

I would like to see another window - a playlist of playlists. (or a playlist manager)

I would love it be implemented like this:

1. Press a button to get you into playlist manager mode
2. Type in a number corresponding to the playlist and that playlist is loaded into winamp

3. Then you just operate winamp as normal

*. Then I could export to html or text a copy of the playlist manager. This feature is great for breaking your mp3's into smaller collections (playlists) and going through them w/ an explorer-like feel.

*. It would especially be handy to x10 or other remote users who need to manipulate winamp "blind" from another room. But it's also handy from the desktop just to see what's in eacy playlist (quickly) and
