Those people are waiting in line to get tickets. If Bilbo has his tickets, why would he wait in line?
Speaking of which, I should buy my tickets soon

I saw the trailer for Ep III. That was more than enough of a teaser. I'm going to wait until a few days after it's released in the theaters to see it. Looks awesome.

I am just back from the theatre where I saw the episode 3 (this morning).
In the first episode, I was really disappointed by Jar Jar Binks and by the kid who played Anakin : he had really bad dialogues and acting.
The second episode was better, except Hayden Christensen's dialogues, and the Anakin & Padme romance.
And for me, this third episode is similar to the second: dialogues are still horrible and Hayden Christensen too.
About the movie itself : I didn't get the same suspense, the same emotion while I was watching the old episodes. I mean... in this episode the story was already known but the saberlight fightings were not as exiting as I expected. I wasn't worried about characters : I just watched the movie like another blockbuster.. :(
Of course, knowing why Anakin Skywalker turned bad was cool but Lucas :
- should have wrote better dialogues for his characters
- took other shots (according to what I read, he only took a very few takes per scene, unfortunately for him.. Hayden sucked in most of them)
For me, it's now more a showcase of what ILM can do rather than new good StarWars movies. Episodes 4, 5, 6 were so good. I think Georges Lucas didn't put the same energy in these than he did for the first episodes. :(

I liked the one-liners. My favorite: Anakin asking about killing an unarmed prisoner after he just cut Dooku's arms off.
Could have had better dialog though.

EIII was the worst film I've seen since EII and prior to that EI, and I've seen some stinkers. Lucas can't direct his way out of a wet paper bag. It's just a big cash machine with no soul. I would have walked out if I'd been alone.
I loved EIV & EV, as a kid, when they first came out. They're still good now. Darth, Han, Chewy, Princess and the bots rock. But for me it turned into a sick joke with the emergence of the teddy bears in EVI and proceeded to plummet into an abyss of the foulest smelling shit you can imagine. Never to recover.
Lucas is a joke. He is a conman. He is a destroyer of dreams.

dude star wars is a joke. All of them. Those originals are awesome because you were a kid when you saw them. They're cool now because you can't look at them objectively. You get back in the kid mindset and love them. They weren't great plotwise, they weren't great dialogue wise, and they weren't great predicatability wise. They were terrible plots. All of them.
But now these three came out with the same formula, and Star Wars freaks bitch. Why? Because their heads are so far up the "coolness" of the first three that were written for young(ish) audiences when they were young(ish). Now that you're older, you spot the bad dialogue and acting and scream foul. Bah, I say to you. bah.
Who from the original star wars became famous for anything other than Star Wars? Ford. That's it, man. Because he was the only decent actor. Who is Mark Hammil? Where is he? He was a terrible actor, and continues to be terrible. And he was the major protagonist! The first three were just as garbage as these, your expectations have been risen because you started liking girls and went through puberty and got smarter. The movies didn't change, you did.

Yeah man, I don't disagree except for They're cool now because you can't look at them objectively. on which I disagree. I've always hated Skywalker and I would've hated Binks if I was 5. I would still like EIV and EV if they came out now. I don't mind a corny mindless romp. But EI,II,III, & VI are turgid, boring, shite with no interest for me whatsoever. My opinion, that's all it's not teh law or anything.

After thought:
If you're aiming the 'Star Wars freaks' tag my way I assure you I'm anything but. I only went to EII & EIII because my missus made me! And EI because I got roped in with pre-booked tickets with a bunch of mates.

I don't like star wars, but I did like this one. The fights were pretty good. Though I must say, no man could survive what Anakin went through. Jedi or not, he's still a man. Why the hell didn't Obi Wan cut his head off or something?

I just watched the movie at the Metreon complex at San Francisco this weekend.
It's frickin awesome with the action and fight scenes, but of course the dialogue could have been a lot better.
However, those who have watched all the other SW episodes might have a different opinion from mine, though.
