View Full Version : enqueue file + stop playing

Play a normal file, if you do CTRL+V or SHIFT+V it will stop the song (at the end or with fading). That is the normal behaviour.
Now, select a next song with a enqueue fonction (while playing or not...)
Now play a sound (at this time you have ONE enqueue song in the list).

If you do CTRL+V, it won't work, it will play the next song in queue and it won't stop after this song too.

If you do SHIFT+V, it will stop, if you do NEXT song (B), the next song in queue will start IMMEDIATELY, normally, we are supposed to push start (X) because SHIFT+V STOP the songs.

Running : Winamp5.08, WinXP Pro SP1

Sorry, but we can't reproduce this.

Ctrl+V always stops after current for me, regardless of how many tracks are in the JTFE queue or not.

Re "NEXT song (B)"
That is a feature of the JTFE plugin (gen_jumpex.dll).
If there's any songs in the queue, then clicking Next from a stopped state will play the next song in the queue (without the need to click Play).

Though I did manage to find a bug with Shift+V (stop with fadeout).
It fades out and then I get a split second or so extra sound before it finally stops.
This only occurs when DirectSound Output is active, not WaveOut,
and the length of extra sound seems to be determined by out_ds buffer lengths.
Anyone else?

Note, I'm replying to this as a result of your crosspost/reminder message here (http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?postid=1705518#post1705518).

there is an issue with the code for it though the issue is a bit hit and miss at times (see my edit ;) )

k, heh.
though it seems to be more 'miss' than 'hit' for me ;)

Ok, it's not trivial that when you stop and you play the "NEXT" sound it starts if it is in the queue...

BUT,
Enqueue a sound
Play a different sound
Stop the sound (the way you want)
Play next... the next sound is the enqueued sound but it is not removed from the list... I think that is not the normal behavior.

Waiting for your reply.

Hmm, unless I didn't understand your instructions, I can't reproduce ^that^ either.

Are you using the latest version of JTFE (see top line of DrO's sig above) or the old v0.96ff (which comes with Winamp 5.03 to 5.093)?

Note, when complete, the new version of JTFE (gen_jumpex.dll) will be included with the forthcoming Winamp 5.1
