Hello SHOUTcast Users!

I do have some, for me important questions to you.

I guess, some people will answer things like "not possible", but I hope, that somebody can help me in spite of it.

Ok, Number 1: Is it possible to hide the IP of my listeners for users who only have the stream password? And if I have the admin password, I can see the IP? If you don't know, why I ask a question like this, I will explain. Our DJ Team is about 30 people, and so a few people have the stream password. If one member will leave the team, he can login to the server and perhaps attack these IPs or something like that.

Number 2: I know there are these TTSL Stats, but I don't really know what they can tell me. I need statistics, how many listeners tuned in at one day. Every single IP should be counted if it connects to the stream, so I can count the listeners of one day and not only current listeners. Also I want to count one IP, which connects more that one time as only one connect. So I want a statistic like that: "On Monday the 16 May 2005 about 7500 listeners tuned in to your station, about 5000 different IPs connected to your stream". I need this art of statistic for new partners who really want to know these things.

Number 3: Ok, we do have a server with a domain dns like http://Clubstream.RauteMusik.FM:9000 - which is normally this IP: http://213.202.245.100:9000 . We will change our Server IP in a few weeks because our sponsor will change his place from one city to another. So we also change our IP (here: 213.202.245.100 will be changed to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx I dont know at the moment). Many listeners of our radio first see our stream at the SHOUTcast listing at SHOUTcast.com and then they use the "Tune In" Button. If you click this button, you will connect to http://213.202.245.100:9000/listen.pls and NOT http://Clubstream.RauteMusik.FM:9000/listen.pls . I said we will change our IP in a few weeks and so the current IP will go down from one moment till the next. So we will loose a few listeners from SHOUTcast.com - who only saved this IP on WinAmp. Now the question I wanted to ask: Is it possible to tell shoutcast.com - that the listener should load http://Clubstream.RauteMusik.FM:9000/listen.pls instead of the real IP? Would be very very nice, if that is possible!

Three stations here. But 2 stations with no numbers of TUNE-INS or 5-MIN-TUNE-INS. What could be the reason of this? How to fix that problem?

I would be very glad if somebody could help me with these questions. Thanks in advance!

Number 1: The reason the DNAS password is configurable is to allow what you want -- I understand that the password change requires a DNAS reload and listener kick, but it is the only way to secure the password.

Number 2: To get the kind of real time stats you need, you would have to compile the statistics in real time or write custom code to parse and evaluate the DNAS logfile -- all of the specific info you need can be gleaned from the log.

Number 3: You're not correct about how the SHOUTcast directory works -- Your DNAS creates the entry in real time after you connect the source, so you can be sure that as soon as you "move," the directory entry will immediately be updated to reflect the new location of your broadcast.

Number 4: I use an "old" version of the DNAS -- it does not know about 5-min tune-ins and does not compile the extra stats that the latest DNAS does -- I'd check the DNAS server versions running if those stats are important to you.
