Hi,
Every time a song is played, if necessary I edit the song info in the library and it goes on for days
and all of suden when for any reason I loose my winamp and have to install a new one I loose all my work and have to
start from very beginning.
what is your trickes to safe all these modifications and even though you uninstall the whole winamp you can have them for another install?:igor:

You could just copy all those files manually to another location to create a backup. An easier way is to use a batch file which you can run to do the backup for you:

if you edit the id3 tags (is this what your talkign about) the song info should be writting to the mp3 itself

If you right-click an item in the Media Library > Edit selected items, and you check the option 'Update file tag(s) if supported', then yes, the ID3-tags of the mp3 file on your hard drive will be updated. (screenshot (http://img284.echo.cx/img284/9867/wamlupdtags5vv.png))
Note the 'supported'. That means that if you edit info of a wave or avi file (for example), the info will only be stored in the library database and not in the actual media file on your hard drive.
You can check this by right-clicking an item in the Media Library > View file info...
The info displayed there is always stored in the ID3-tags of the actual media file.

Now one more question do you by any chance know how I can shedule my broad cast, I want to put an advertisement after ever 3 or more songs, now i have to do it manually but not easy
