Please help me out, i'v been at this for days now, i'v been tryin to read on fourms but nuthin seems to help...

First i got my Local IP Address from CDM > ipconfig
My local ip is 192.168.0.2

Then i when to my DSL Modem and i configured the port forwarding... this is what i did...

IP Port Range Protocol IP Address
8000 TO 8000 TCP 192.168.0.2

AND I ALSO FORWARDED...

IP Port Range Protocol IP Address
8001 TO 8001 TCP 192.168.0.2

THEN, in Shoutcast source, For IP i put down "192.168.0.2" And for PORT i put down "8000" I Went in "Edit SHOUTcast DNAS Configuration" and set the password, and i set the PORT to "8000" THATS ALL, i didn't mess with anything else!

THEN AFTER I DID THAT AND RESTARTED MY DSL MODEM, I started up the Shoutcast DNAS Server, then the Shoutcas Source, and i get this error all the time in the Shoutcast DNAS Server...

<07/18/05@11:00:56> [SHOUTcast] DNAS/win32 v1.9.2 (Nov 25 2002) starting up...

From the info in your post, everything looks correct. Not sure why you're getting the error. You may have to restart the Actiontec for the port-forwarding changes to kick in. I would do that if you haven't already done so... Then restart shoutcast and see if you have success.

ok, i did that "fix nak error" thing that you told me to do, i did everything the site told me to do...but it also told me to change the "yport" to "666" and now i'm getting "error connecting to yp.shoutcast.com" and every like 5 senconds it says it again...i do not get the "cannot see you station/computer error, and i think changing the yport to "666" is taking a step backward, cuz i read in the fourms that yport "666" is not working and the yport "80" is the only one that will work at the moment...so i'm gon change it back to yport "80"

i will restart modem and comp at the same time as one of you suggested...i will follow up on another post in a moment...i will also to the port checker and follow up on that as well...

It doesn't say you HAVE to change it, it's a suggestion for if your ISP caches your true IP and nothing else is working.

If you're absolutely sure that your firewalls and/or modem/router are configured correctly, there is another thing that could cause it.

Some internet service providers block some commonly used ports, sometimes including the ones shoutcast is setup to use as default. I've only seen this twice since I started using shoutcast in early '04 though, so it's a longshot. I'd still be willing to bet on something not right in the router/modem/firewall.
