The Last Step, The Worst Step!!!!!

I just got my shoutcast set up, and I was on the final step. You Know, where you go http://youripaddress:8000.

Well, My IP Address is 142.166.203.22 ( I used whastmyipaddreess and ipchicken or whatever.)

When I typed in http://142.166.203.22:8000 it brought me to This Page Cannot Be Displayed page.

Uhk. Ive Searched this forum for help on this, and theres nothign here.

Can anyone help?

what is your ISP, and do you have a router? If you do have you forwarded the ports 8000 and 8001?

Sorry, im not very good with computers, i have a knowledge but not when it comes to this stuff. Is there step by step instructions that I can follow somewhere? :confused:

ok, first things first, when you have the shoutcast server running, a small icon that looks like an S with waves coming from it should be in the corner of the screen by the clock. If you double click on that a box will pop up. Copy and paste into a reply so we can see for any errors that might be occuring

if you cannot see what is wrong when you get home and post up the logs from your shoutcast so we can see what the problems may be?
