umm.. hi.. i've been trying to get the mic and winamp running at the same time but it doesnt seem to work. so my question is when i connect output2 (mic) on the port 8005 (which is opened) why doesnt it connect? i assume this has something to do with the conf. file in shoutcast but since i dont know what to change i cant get it to work.
where it says portbase=8000, should i alter it in some way or add a similar variable ? ty in advance, and sry if this question has been somewhat answered. (searched the forums and couldnt find a solution..) gogo flame..

ye, well if i change the portbase (think thats what u mean) to 8005 then i cant run the music on port 8000..
If you get a fatal error when; the DNAS is setting up a socket on startup, make sure nothing else on the; machine is running on the same port (telnet localhost portnumber -- if you; get connection refused then you're clear to use that port). Ports < 1024 ; may require root privledges on *nix machines. The default port is 8000.PortBase=8000
i changed portbase to 8005 which letting me use the port on output2 (the mic) thus denies me from using the originating 8000 (winamp w/music). perhaps u answered my question correctly and i didnt understand, pls rephrase if thats the issue, cheers from a confused shoutcaster :D

Are you trying to DJ? Or run two seperate broadcasts, one music and one talk?
