So Hilary Duff gave 12x as much as the whole country of Sri Lanka. Don't get me wrong, I'm not angry at Sri Lanka, I'm mad that she is somehow rich enough to do that.

Oi, calm down there matey, you are the richest country in the world, should you be relying on smaller, sometimes hell of a lot poorer states to bail you out?

You really should take another look at foreign aid statistics.

Sure you have your debt, but that's mainly caused by your enormous trade deficit and overblown military spending.

Please, do some research before giving an argument, although I did get a good laugh out of
we prolly helped them a lot of times that im not aware of!

Being rich does mean something.. you have money to spend on this type of thing, unlike somewhere lke Sri Lanka

Butchering unbutchered.

Notice how much of the money went to the Red Cross?

Was because the government refused the aid of many countries.
We all appreciate the offerings of so many and I was happy to donate what I had to the tsunamis but I'm still scratching my head as to why we keep Cuba on the other side of the fence after all these years.

Am I wrong in thinking that America sent money and aid to the tsunami folk quicker than they've helped out their own?
If this http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/4154791.stm is correct then it looks like I was right. However I cannot really go by news stories, especially with the recent conflicting agendas.

the fact is thats over seas and just money.
bush already pledged money and its not needed quite yet...food\supplys\rescue\law and order is needed right now...the money is there for them now but its not needed...with the tusnami we sent money but you didnt see sri lanka spend it in a day.

.... a generation of exiled, formerly rich Cubans and american banks who formerly owned the country.... also attacking Grenada might have something to do with it.

The way to fix Cuba would be to invade it. I think we've done enough of that invading foreign countries for a while.

:D
