Getting the mic set up is tricky. First, make sure you have a good mic (test it using Windows' built-in sound recorder)

Next, set your mixers in Windows. On most computers, you'll need to select "Stereo Mix" in the recording mixers. Also make sure while you're there that you have the sliders for Wave and Mic raised, and if there's an advanced option under Mic, set it to "Mic Boost"

If you experiment long enough and you have a good mic, you will get it working.

ah yeah, i forgot to look at them, i had the microphone input very low.

still dont if it works yet, but i recorded it and sounded okay for me, but talking is hard to hear with the music over the top.

if you got it on the soundcard imput, the musci can stil be heard clearly right? so i can talk without my voice too loud over the music.
does puch to talk button quieten down the music?
