Recently a friend of mine setup a Radio Server on Winamp for our community, Have always used Winamp, Modern Themes very nice :)

I noticed there are both Radio & TV, so I checked out the TV, and well...erm...

Alot of crap tbh, and isn't teen sex illegal?

Did anyone checkout this yet?

It is illeagle I think :P Very disturbing to see Only mere teenagers having sex with older men?. I mean who would watch that?

Depends... 18-19 is still considered "Teens" as well as "Adult"

Zántíng
2nd October 2005, 19:30
Dodgy stuff, illegal is under 18, but you must take into the account that this is sensitive stuff, should probably be dis-allowed IMO.

TBH I wasn't surprised to find alot of crap on Internet TV, heh.

What the fekk?
Did you see her date of birth tattooed on her like a case of Bud light?

First off, are we suppose to mind-guess what site you're blabbering about.
Secondly, see the Bud light case reference.

Life lesson #347

Never assume anything that someone says is true. Assloads of porn purveyors claim that they have teenie porn while really having over 18 skanks with little titties in their flicks.

I didn't ask which beer you drank and it's irrelevant to this discusision. I used an example of proofing to exercise my point.
Congratulations, in under 10 posts, you've managed to irk me with your rhetoric and your blatant violation of forum rules.

Zántíng
2nd October 2005, 21:29
Well np for you, I only registered to ask that one question and evaluate if its legal or not.

lol and I didn't assume anything, tbh some looked 16.

ElChevelle

30 year olds look 16 to me:p

My friend and his gf thinks its illegal, can I have some Real info on this, not a mod's opinions...

This isn't something to be laughed about, exploitation like this can be hidden anywhere, and should be looked into to be stopped.

Germ
3rd October 2005, 01:08
If the girls are under 18 yes it's illegal. But we don't really know how old they are so there's not much we can do. That's up to the Feds or whatever governing body the stream is coming from to deal with and prove.

Now shut up.

Zántíng

But isn't a media network like Winamp supposed to manage this?

Have some responsibility?

Dude, I agree with Zant, have some responsibility for your actions. ElChevelle, u r such an idiot. U don't realize how sick and wrong that is...............complete idiot.

Hi everyone:

Xeno, Zant.....Have you guys ANY idea how much effort it would take to monitor each & every stream to determine whether or not the people in the scene on the stream are "of age" for whatever it is they are doing? It would be a massive undertaking.

Besides, it's NOT like....

A). You can't install multiple instances of Winamp with customized settings to match the user. This is especially handy if your kids use the same computer you do and have different settings and preferences in Windows.

B). You can't tweak the settings whereas porn videos/streams aren't even listed. I hope we mustn't show you how to do this... *roll*

On top of this, anyone can say the porn video is loaded with teenagers, but that doesn't neccessarily mean that it is. In this context, the word "Teen" is really meant to get the attention of horny men. It is not intended to insult anyone.

Long & short, if anyone is the idiot, it is you Zeno & Zant.

Now if you guys don't mind....

Xenomorph banned for flaming.

Zantig, no - Winamp is not responsibile for any content in the listings. There's no way to prove how old a person is that you see in a video. Use your goddamn head.

Zántíng
3rd October 2005, 10:21
Well I have banned most of that content stuffs.

And yeah it could be false advertising but what if it isn't?

You say it would be of great effort, and a massive undertaking, tbh all you'd need would be a handful of people taking turns scanning everything for anything suspicious.

hey guys, was checking around the forums until i ran into this converasion
i gotta agree with that zant guy, underage girls having sex is wrong
and looking up bad porno sites pollutes the mind
but hey thats just my opinion

ElChevelle
3rd October 2005, 11:29
You guys do realize that you're considered a teen until you reach your 20th birthday, don't you?
What're you looking up teen porn for anyway? Go out and find your own young girl:igor:

I don't think it's possible for Winamp to monitor streams for legal considerations. Were they to do that, it would imply some legal responsibility for the content.

Any more than Google takes responsibility for links spidered in it's search engines....

If you see clearly that a crime is being committed, by a domestic station, call the FBI.

Isn't it 18?

Look @ first post of mine.

Ah well yes rock, google doesn't really manage theres, so suppose its not of any matter to the hosting but to the personal servers advertising the stuffs.

Kk thx, better info than from those 2^ :)

Long story short:
-A person has to be 16 or 18 to legally have sex, depending on the state. Maybe there are other possibilities...
-A person has to be 18 to appear in pornography
-Any person below 20 is a "teen"
-There are two full years between 18 and 20
-Pornographers call people "teens" when they really aren't to attract viewers.

That's not to say that what you're seeing wasn't illegal, (I didn't try to look at it :p) but I'm just trying to say that the phrase "teen sex" doesn't necesarily imply underage sex.

If not, then shut the f*ck up!!.

Ah'well got all the info I needed, thx to rock, luigi, exleast some people give real answers and information

Yeah right. So basically, some people should take turns to watch all the NSV porn streams 24/7 and then report what they THINK could be illegal? And then, I guess that they should also track suspected streamers, report them to the authorities, visit them and ask them to produce evidence that that what they show is legal?

Why don't you just do it yourself? Let me warn you though, porn is really boring once you've shot your load.

This post was so interesting I just had to go and register myself to reply...

My reply... I really like porn.

One other thing I was thinking or perhaps worrying about, was the fact that a 15 year old boy came in here complaining about porn. Man when I was 15 I woulda killed to have all that free porn kicking around. Then again I may not have gotten such a creative mind not using it so much.

ROFL hope im not out of line being new here.

I am surprised that WinAMP does not have any rules on porn, but I guess it would be hard to make sure every one fallows them as said above. Also if the teen porn was underaged teen porn, Nullsoft does have a high chance of getting in trouble due to the fact they are making this content avliable. I'm 15 but I think I am a bit smarter then that other person.

ElChevelle
7th October 2005, 23:40
You could label your teen porn stream as "Janitor training" and no one would know but ultimately teen porn is up to you to prove or disprove in most cases. Child pornography, on the other hand, is pretty easy to spot and trust me, if ANY of us, mod or otherwise witnessed any happening here, it would be reported forthright.
Those guys are the lowest scum on the face of the planet.

8th October 2005, 09:25
well i am 15 and i did like that u all who stream porn or sex could do a private broadcast like if they want to view porn they can put password on it for the ADULT only thats my idea for you all who stream that!!!!

LuigiHann
8th October 2005, 16:12
Yeah... I definately didn't think that Nullsoft was in charge of making sure that all the porn was legal porn, but aren't there supposed to be measures taken to prevent all these 15-year-olds from watching porn? :igor:

ken52787
8th October 2005, 16:23
What are they supposed to do? Make everyone with Winamp show a valid credit card?

ravetrax
8th October 2005, 17:39
I wasn't going to comment much on this, but I'm bored...

I do think there could some things WinAMP could do differently...

Like for example, by default, have the viewing ratings system preset for minors, so when someone first installs winamp, it doesn't ask, its preset. Then those that wish to view that kind of crap can go turn it on.

at least this way, we can bypass the idiots cause only those smart enough to go find the rating panel to change it would get there nasty little videos.

But unfortunately, that’s still not going to stop the porn from broadcasting...

My personal opinion would be to ban all porn. But that’s never going to happen, so I deal. :(

LuigiHann
8th October 2005, 18:08
I think something like "check this box if you're over 18" or having them enter their birthdate is enough to stop most minors, except the ones who really want porn.

HisHolynessMoo
9th October 2005, 00:05
Well there really is no need to ban it. I think that when broadcasting with the NSV I think you should give your station a content rateing or such so if people do not want porn to not go to which ever rateing that is made for that content. Make sence?

let's all remember that the media library portions under discussion are in essence search directories. Just as AOL doesn't police the results of the search, google, yahoo and other firms do not police their search results. If you see illegal activities contact your local authorities so that they can use their governing power to shut down the offender not just hide it from the world.

Also please remember that this is the internet and people will find porn merely because of this fact not because winamp has listings to it. A 15 year old who views porn in winamp views it in many other places other then winamp.

Time to end this.

Teen sex is not illegal. In the industry they they keep records of the girls. Copies of their IDs and date of the photo or video shoot. This is all because of U.S.Code Section 2257. That requires them to keep records that the girls were of legal age at the time of the shoot. Using the word teen in the video is irrelevant. Its not up to AOL / Nullsoft to regulate that. If they were really truly concerned about a girl's age they could report the stream to the authorities. When they show up to investigate thats when the content provider gets to show their Section 2257 records. If they can't prove the girls are of legal age then they have some problems. If they can then everything is fine. End of thread.
