Alright, so most of the DJ's of my server play multiple genre's of music, and streaming makes it buffer too much when set to anywhere higher than 80kbps. I assume that when I have the files directly on the server I would be able to broadcast at 128kbps, so what I planned to set up was an mp3 server where each dj gets a directory; they can upload their files on their directory, and when they connect to the shoutcast server and it would load up that folder and play the music in that folder itself. Is this possible or am I just going beyonf the limits of Shoutcast. If it isn't possible could anyone reccomend software that can do that?

i am not sure I understand, if you are going to use a directory of mp3's as a source why would you need dj's to connect to shoutcast?

It sounds like what you are really getting closer to is something called voice tracking. This is where you have a bank of audio files and a set playlist that your djs sets up in advance and he records himself doing intros for songs and breaks. If this is something you would want it is possible but not without alot of work and some good software. SHOUTcast by itself is not really capable of this.
