Loading playlists takes forever!

Since I installed version 2.62 of Winamp loading a large M3U file takes forever! It seems that Winamp scans every file and since the files are located on a network computer this takes very long. I don't know why this is since I set 'Read Titles' to 'on demand'.

check that setting again. also check that the "sort files on load" is also turned off. i have a playlist that is pushing towards 2,000 songs, and it takes no more than 2 seconds to load.
