Hey,
I've noticed that if you have choosen DirectSound as the output device in Winamp under Windows 2k, then the spectrum analyzer will be "ahead of the action" and reacting about 0.5 secs in advance.
I run a PII 433 with 96 MB of ram with a Soundblaster AWE 64.
