typing in my ip never works I always type localhost in the field. I at first thought it was because of my router but now I am plugged in direct to the cable modem, and indeed it lists another ip for me but I still have to type the localhost in on my dsp plug.

If you go to shoutcast and search for Adam Test Server it will come up...

The location of your stream is the IP and the port -- we need both.

I get connection refused for http://67.162.55.31:8000/

the sampling rates match up both are in mono. I have the introfile thing set to no intro file. I am able to hear it on my machine and everyone is able to see the song infromation streaming so what could be preventing the audio to be making it to you???
I am perplexed.

I am using comcast cable internet. I have taken the router out of the equation. When I type the ip address listed in my netwrk places it doesnt allow me to connect. However when I type localhost I connect with shoutcast and can be seen under Adam Test Server. People are still reporting no audio. Please help

Thank you,
Adam

The things that determine volume are the actual volume of the source file (mp3) and the DSP settings like WinAMP (playlist) or Soundcard.

It's not a network issue, so nothing you do there will help -- the problem is your source config. Try changing encoders?

You should also "see" the level (VU style) in the DSP Main and Input tabs -- What do you see?

Please, put your router back. :)

Ok I think it is resolved I had soundcard selected instead of winamp. Now I am seeing levels. Now my prob is that I cant find my server on shoutcast even though the log keeps saying shoutcast touched with no errors. The name Is ADAM'S TEST SERVER
