Playlist having problems with VBR MP3s

When a Variable bit rate (VBR) MP3 is playing in winamp it is not possible to scroll down in a long playlist. Whenever you try to scroll down it jumps back to the playing VBR MP3's playlist entry.

I've noticed the same problem. A little problematic...

A workaround is that you can use the 'j' key to jump to the desired song.

Why has a thread from well over a year ago been restored (in bug reports of all places) and with a huge & mighty flame ?????????
Who's even to say that the Mad Dog in question here is the same person who rated your skin? The forums & skin rating system are two entirely different sections of winamp.com, and anyone can register totally different usernames for either/both.
Mad Dog isn't even a registered member of these forums.
He was a guest, way back in the days when this was possible with the old ubb forums. It's very unlikely he's ever going to read this, besides, he wasn't even the topic starter.
So, if you don't mind, I'm going to give you 24 hours to respond, and then I'm either going to lock or delete this thread, or maybe just delete everything after the 3rd post . . . I haven't decided yet.
All I know is that this sort of thing is not warranted in these forums, especially in Bug Reports, and I doubt if it will be welcomed in the Skins forum either.
You might be able to get away with it in GenDisc or Bitchlist, but not here.

The VBR playlist bug was fixed long ago in 2.666, btw. Nasty flame too. :p
