the base sounds like farts when played in winamp. try the EQ with the first two bands full and the rest all the way down to hear it. this can be fixed by getting the mpg123 decoder and use it in place of nullsoft's. it has problems with ID3 support though.
sonique's sounding great right now,..... but the UI sucks compared to winamp so i'll stick with winamp regardless of this inconvenience.

Mrpotato, sonique has one of the cleanest, smoothest, and best looking ui's that i have ever seen. I hope that it will be the model for Winamp 3.0 whenever it is released. I love the skinning process in Sonique that dosen't set the boundaries that the skin can hold, like winamp does. Every other major Mp3 player has this type of skinning process, why dosent' winamp?

How can you get the mpg123 decoder? i thought it was only for unix/linux.

You can get the in_mpg123 plugin from here:
http://www.geocities.co.jp/Technopolis/9674/in_mpg123.html
Also, since version 115, it has id3 tag editting.
