Winamp Skin Fall off....

After about 10 songs play (the full length of time) the skin for the main window comes off. It no longer shows all the detail and texture of the skin but instead shows the basic features of the original winamp preinstalled skin. Why does this happen? how can this be fixed?

I've been having a similar problem with multiple copies of winamp each using different skins. When a player stops it refreshes the parts of the skin that aren't normally changed during playback and if the skin it is using was not the last one to load it uses the wrong skin and results in a complete mess!
Does anyone have any suggestions?
