2.62 Loads then unloads in Win98SE! Won't run!?

Winamp 2.62 loads the promptly unloads under Windoze 98SE. I upgraded from ver 2.5 to 2.62 and now wimamp will not load. I uninstalled 2.62 and reinstalled the older version and WinAmp runs just fine?! I'm using a 266 w/64 megs ram and 13 gig hard drive - 6 gig free. I'm using a Dell with a Yamaha Multiplex Sound Card (lets you play multiple sounds at once! GREAT card!). Also using X10.com's MP3 Player Software (latest version), with the roming remote and Stereo Transmitter.

I have win98se and this has never happened to me. Thats really strange why it would load and then unload. Oh and I also have an x10 mouse remote. I dont use the x10 software though. i use max10, its alot better than the x10 software. if you ever get tired of the original software, go to http://max10.sourceforge.net
