I think I may have found some bugs in 2.63. DFX 3.1 doesn't work with the new Winamp 2.63. I have the 2.62 installed in another comp and DFX 3.1 works fine. Also another annoying bug is Winamp 2.63 when you click the Open files button on the main UI, it starts up in the C:\Windows folder. This behaviour is not present in the previous Winamps where it will open the last folder where you played your mp3 from. I have reinstalled Winamp 2.63 and DFX 3.1 and it still doesn't work. I'm using Win98 SE and IE 5.01.

After some more testing, I found out that the annoying behaviour where after you click the Open files button only happens when the DFX plugin is loaded, it doesn't not happen when it is not the plugins selected. For more additional info, I'm using a P2 300MHz, SB Live Value sound card.

Oh good, I thought that I may be the only one with this problem.
Hmm... so there IS a problem after all, a friend and I have been baffled with this problem too, when we installed v2.63, our DFX's wouldn't work. I'm not sure about you guys, but for me, it works for 1 second after the usual ordering info box went away (I tested it by maxing out all the values to 10). Strangely it reloads itself 1 second after, the ordering info box comes back up, and DFX just doesn't do anything anymore. It's not the DFX software that's the problem, but some sort of different program coding in v2.63, i've tried dfx 2.3 on winamp 2.63, and it's not compatible with the new winamp either. I've noticed a flicker in the winamp and dfx configuration box like it's refreshing itself, which never happened in previous versions of winamp. After some fiddling around with the preferences and stuff, i found a way to miraculously get DFX to work again, but after the song finished, and the next song on my playlist started, it just fizzled out again. Why is winamp now reloading itself? I think that's why DFX gets confused and maybe when trying to reload itself again, it shuts itself off... I'm using a 500mhz P3, 128Mb SDRAM, and Win98 2nd edition.

Sh!t no DSP will work for me. They strangely work for CD-reader read CD tracks, but burning my whole MP3 collection for using it with 2.63 is out of the question. All i can suggest is downgrading to 2.62 http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/frown.gif
where can we get winamp v2.62?

Go here</A> and search for winamp262.exe or perhaps winamp262_lite.exe (not sure about the lite one) hurry up, before they update http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/smile.gif

I have a problem with 2.63. Whenever Winamp is in the background and another application is running full screen, Winamp will pop to the top whenever the current song ends and another song starts playing from my playlist.
I am also running DFX 3.1, as well as Much FX.
Anyone else having this problem, and any suggestions on fixing it?
I ended up doing a search for Winamp 2.62 via FTP and reinstalled it. The advantages of Winamp 2.63 aren't that significant enough to have to deal with this problem.
