With agent on, windows scandisk is interrupted. I did the scandisk because my mouse locked up twice. Drwatson showed winampa.exe in task. Turning off agent made everything OK.
Thank You

Agent is used to make sure that no frickin program (read:Realplayer) steals winamps associtions. The interuption of SD (defrag too http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/frown.gif ) is just a side-effect, although a very bad one http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/frown.gif

I'm only guessing (from change of file time stamps etc.), but this side effect should be caused by the agent's periodic disk writes to "winamp.ini" to report when was the last time it last checked its file associations.
I'm still guessing, but why do you need write that down? Seems it'll work fine if you just let the agent check for file associations every 5 or 10 minutes without recording when the check is done.
