BUG: "application/x-msdownload" registered as WinAmp

In my Netscape the ContentType: "application/x-msdownload" is being registered as a WinAmp download!!!!!

Try fx: http://download.microsoft.com/download/platformsdk/sdkx86/1.5/NT45/EN-US/wmisdk.exe

You're WinAmp will start!

I have seen the same problem, however not with the specific URL you provide...
This url does however: http://www.microsoft.com/security/products/iis/CheckList.exe

While I'm quite aware that this can be 'worked around' by changing how your browser handles the filetype, I'm concerned that WinAmp would assume this file type upon install.

GEMAL this is exactily what has happened to me instead of norton antivirus scanning files dl from microsoft winamp startes instead.....you are not alone on this one...neur
