Winamp repetitions

When playing songs just downloaded, Winamp will play the first few measures of the song then it jumps back to the beginning. This just started yesterday. Have had it downloaded for just a few days and the problem just began. My Windows Media Player never had this problem, I like Winamp better,and would like to keep it as my default player.
Please let me know what to do to fix this problem.

while you are downloading a song, you don't have the entire song (obviously). if you tell winamp to play an incomplete file, it will play as much of the file as it can and then skip to the next song or repeat the song if it's the only playlist entry.
