Winamp 2.62 for Windows 98, can't play music cds

I try to play the music cds in Winamp's new version 2.62, and all it said was <unknown> with the track's time on it. Usually, it would either say "CDA" or "CD Track 1."

What is wrong with the player ?

I have recently downloaded winamp and I have found the same problems. I am sure it is my lack of knowledge on some of the characteristics of the software but if it is a software glitch, I would appreciate it if you would explain what solution we have apart from rebooting the computer which seems to work.
