Running Domain Name off of PC

Ok, I'm sure there are thousands of websites out ther that tell how, but asking here cause I wanted to get a ???radio.com domain, have it run off my static IP and use it for my shoutcast station.

Anyone know of some good, easy to follow websites? Would I be able to do it directly from my PC or would I have to go through some DNS providers (such as easyDNS.org)?
