i looked all over googlelinux and couldnt find anything.
im looking to have a live voice, and not just stream mp3s. like a FM talk station if you will.
any help is much appreciated.

all you need is to set up the shoutcast server and stream the live voice and content from your pc to the linux box?
but i am a little confused by your question :(

SpacialAudio have there own forums why not try there first, this way the features that are used in Sam can be concidered, not everyone here uses sam

I was going to say Muse, also look at sc_trans (although that won't really do what you want) I believe someone did build a desktop front-end for it.
Try things like sourceforge or freshmeat at they contain many linux based broadcast tools (Although many are out of date/no longer in dev)..

wow a gui to sc_trans. Oh the joy. I can not make it to google fast enough!
