I've just downloaded Winamp 2.64 and have found a slight problem. All the MP3 files play but you can hear static and crackling in the background which is throughly aggravating. I tried increasing the priority
as suggested in the FAQ section but it did nothing to help. Any offers?

The problem may not be WinAmp...maybe your MP3 files are just of bad quality? Try a better copier (Audio Grabber is good), or find a source that has MP3s of better quality. Hope I could help! =)

I too get a crackling sound. I found that the problem is the winamp EQ. When it's turned off, there's no crackling. Also, the winamp preamp control when set at the middle lever, 0db or above, with the EQ causes the crackling. I still wonder if this is normal. I don't think it is, I mean you should be able to turn the preamp all the way up without getting crackling shouldn't you? Well anyway the cracklings there. Any further suggestions are appreciated
