Hard to tell - there are a few steps to getting set up. There's a tutorial link in my signature. Maybe give it a read, and blow past the stuff you've already done. It might help you find a step you missed...

Thanks,
All the instructions tell me to do some stuff that including changing my IP adress. Sorry, not happening. I got it to stay on connecting message for aboaut 30 sec before it disconcts, a major improvment. What did this was i read the read me for the dsp plug in and it told me to change the adress of the ouput section. But agian it didn't fix it, it only made the connecting proces last longer.

You downloaded SHOUTcast too, right? Just wanted to make sure. You need Winamp, Shoutcast DSP and Shoutcast Server (3 downloads total)

http://www.shoutcast.com/download/
"Be A Server"
When you get that downloaded, I really recommend the tutorial. It will help. Expect to spend about 30 minutes getting it all running.

you can broadcast to your sever via local host change the dsp ip to "localhost" along with the port and password you use then check that YOU can hear your feed by opening winamp >file>url and enter http://localhost:8000 if you left the port the standard if you hear the music way to go! in order for you to get online check your ip at http://www.ipchicken.com
for you to be able to stream to other people use http://yourip:8000/listen.pls
:) hope this helps dude

You're not understanding the tutorial. You don't have to change your IP. But you do need to configure SHOUTcast, and the DSP, or it ain't gonna work. If the tutorial isn't your thing, that's cool. There are stickies at the top of the Tech Support forum here, and masses of readme files that came with the downloads. Give 'em a read. You'll figure it out :)

Dude I changed the area to localhost. it worked! I AM NOW CONNECTED! But guess what. A couple more problems rear their ugly head. First off when i play a song it plays for a little bit then gets to point where it strats looping. Odd. Another thing is I went to http://localhost:8000 and it said i am broadcasting and i heard the music. then you said to go to http://yourip:8000/listen.pls and i did but it siad it cant load the page, an what is up with ipchicken?? (i tried the ip ipchicken showed too)
