I saw that somewhere else before, but it's still awesome as hell. :)

uhhh can anyone with exceptional music "playing-by-ear" techniques" verify by the portions of keys & positions visible in the video that he is in fact playing the songs himself? Just wondering...b/c it would be easy enough to do a convincing "looks close enough" performance & have someone in the sound department play a recording---though it might be hard to time everything right

I've played various instruments by ear for about 25 years now, mostly learning new songs on electric bass after one listen. This guy looks and sounds to me like he's really playing.
I wish I had balls so talented, but alas...mine can't play any instruments. :(

HAHA LMAO! that's hilarious scor...I just thought that it seemed like the guy was sort of a stand-up comedian---not saying they don't have exceptional talent---but it's not required to have those kinds of skills to be an effective comedian---if someone could pull off a convincing "fake," it doesn't matter too much long as it's funny---I was just wondering
thanks scor

one more thought---I noticed the background music---I guess he would have to time his actions with the background music that the sound people must have played

....just found this---these ppl could be wrong of course saying that he's a fraud. What you think scor? I trust your instincts; just wanted to let you know what others thought of it

His timing faults at the start of each sequence would be VERY hard to match so well with recorded playback while he's "acting it out" live on stage. That's the strongest reason I say it's real.
But I could certainly be wrong as well. Even with many years of music experience, I'm by no means infallible.

on the site link I posted, they brought up an interesting perspective---if it was a MIDI keyboard, he very well could have it sequenced to where his timings are what matter---which would play everything (in theory)---
WOW...I just realized I neglected to post the link---here it is http://www.milkandcookies.com/article/2517/

Yeah, that'd work too, and be much easier to pull off.
I gave him the benefit of the doubt because I've seen stage musicians do things more difficult than that, even...and which were live and real.
Ref: Stanley Jordan. Is it one live guitar that sounds like three, or is it one live guitar plus some recorded dub overlays?
Ref: Stomp. Is it all really just them? Or is it a baseline rhythm, with them only adding some percussion and sound effects along the way?
These two are certainly real...I've seen them both live and up close.
So playing a clean (non-midi) floor electric keyboard that well with balls isn't nearly impossible.
In fact, I think I'll try to play my 4-string bass with my balls...
*brings up 911 on speed dial, just in case...*
edit:
And if I recorded a whole album doing this, I could call it Bassballs.

OMG LMAO---well the odd thing was that it was clearly not a traditional keyboard, but then again it would be impossible with a traditional keyboard to hit just one key with a ball---anyways----what kind of balls were you planning on using ;) the ones attached to your body??? what's 911 speeddial for, if it isn't the two balls you were born with (hopefully)

911 is just in case I get my balls twisted up in the strings. After all, if I let out my guitar strap a couple of notches they'll reach the strings just fine. And if they get twisted up I might not be able to yell for help. Not in a voice people could hear, anyway.

I was talking about the three above that were like all 3 minutes apart.....not the one with the link. If you are presenting new info, post a new one i dont care. But what i hate is teh nubs that post something, then have like a few words correction or something like 3 times....

Ouch. Kicking my precious musical balls couldn't have hurt any more than that did. :( :p :D

I've seen some pretty good jugglers live, and that's definitely within their capability after a few hundred hours of practice. I think it would look more believable in a video with a higher framerate--the way the balls streak at high speed makes it look a little off.

why must everyone complain about framebreaking :< I welcome it, it makes things actually take up more than half the width of the screen.
