Hi!

I know its maybe a big wish, but i can't resist:

Please make it possible to use a "real" database for the media library. ODBC would be nice, but it could also be MySQL, MS Access, MSDE (data engine), Oracle, DB2 or whatever.

Many whishes would be covered by this feature (SQL Syntax, subqueries, etc).

SQL backed media library is on the roadmap. Just dont expect it anytime soon, its a fundemental change.

Will Winamp use its own database, or have the possibility to use an existing database?

No idea. Depends on what jumps the queue. I believe benski may have used some of his spare time to put some proof of concept work behind it, but that doesnt mean its any closer to reality.
